Our People
Founder - Simon Adcock
I started LGTS after 25 years working inside local government and alongside councils as a senior executive, across roles including CIO, Chief Customer Officer, Chief Operations Officer and Director Corporate Services, in metropolitan and regional councils.
Most technology consultants are technology people. Most council business leaders aren't deep technology people. I'm both. That combination is genuinely rare.
Councils are unusually complex organisations. They deliver an enormous range of services, from waste collection and road maintenance to land use planning, community programs, environmental management and everything in between, each with its own regulatory obligations, stakeholder pressures and operational rhythms. Because my career has included so many whole-of-council initiative like work corporate strategy, corporate reporting, business improvement and technology implementations I have a rare depth and breadth of experience. I understand the pressures councils face from elected officials, audit committees and communities, and I know what it takes to translate strategy into delivery that holds up in day-to-day operations.
Over my career I've led award-winning digital and CRM transformation programs, redesigned dozens of customer-facing services, and delivered measurable improvements in service accessibility, staff productivity and financial sustainability. I've also been accountable for major technology procurements and vendor performance, which directly informs how I now help councils cut through vendor marketing, ask the right questions and make confident investment decisions. And I've stabilised complex programs that needed experienced leadership to get back on track.
Technology advice grounded in genuine business depth produces better outcomes, with fewer wrong turns, less rework, and recommendations that hold up when they meet operational reality.
